Macaroni and Cheese Explains Almost Everything

Generational work differences can be explained solely based on how we learned to make edible macaroni and cheese. So if you think the work ethic has dropped drastically over the last few years, maybe it's not that they are lazy, maybe they just do things differently.

The Wrinkly's came home from school and told their always present Mom they wanted Mac N Cheese. She set them up with everything and explained every step of the way. She used hand over hand guidance to teach the kid how to stir the pasta, continually checked up on them and then fed them the fabulous results.

The Gen Xers, came home from school to an empty house and read the instructions on the box and, since it only says "stir" once, only did it once. The X'er proceeded to eat the three pieces of macaroni not stuck to the bottom of the pot. The next day though, she figured out she needed to stir for the entire time, and proudly ate all the pasta ( subsequently leading to our obesity epidemic - but that's for another day's blog).

The Millenials - come home from soccer to an empty house after getting dropped of by someone else's mom (her own mom is driving her brother to piano lessons). She pulls out the box of macaroni and cheese, texts her best friend, who Facebooks an exchange student in Europe, who Googles the Youtube video demonstrating how not to let the pasta stick to the pot. As our soccer star gulps down the perfectly prepared pasta, she Tweets how wonderful it is.

Twitter summary: Wrinkly's want someone to hold their hand, Gen X'ers want you to tell them what you want and when and then get out of their way and Millenials need to have their friends share in the experience.
