For an hour and a half, as part of a guided tour we learned how huge the exotic pet trade is, and of course what ensues when a cute little cub becomes a few hundred pounds of wild animal.
The tour was incredible and we stood feet away from each cat, with 4x4 chicken wire keeping us safe. The cats are more beautiful than I imagined and to see then this close was amazing.
They had a few other animals there - a bintourang whose scent marking smells like popcorn.

They have wild peacocks, which are more of a nuisance than anything else.

There is also a chicken/Muscovy duck cross. While very ugly, they are also apparently stupider than a doorknob. It's mating season and one of the males couldn't quite figure out which was the important end of the female.

The cats were totally amazing!
