Christmas Morning

Have you seen the Best Buy commercial - where the parents go in and want the "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, mom - you are the greatest!" present for their kids?
Well, now you know what I was saying this morning. I got a torque wrench!!!!!! Can you believe it? My own torque wrench!!! I'm happier than a pig in poo!

This started First Lobster and I thinking about some of the presents we got our kids that fell into the "oh my gosh..." category.

When Alex was 4 years old he got a Little Tykes basketball hoop. We set it up in the living room so he would see it as he came down the stairs in the morning. FL and I sat and watched the joy light up his little face. Those were in the early days after he was diagnosed with Aspergers and he didn't talk much then, but his entire face was beaming!

A few years ago Santa brought Liam an air gun. He was awestruck, wandering around saying "Santa got me a gun"!

Not quite in the "oh my gosh" category, but one of my iconic memories was the year I got all three Charlie's Angels barbies - that's me in my orange pajamas with feet, opening one of the dolls. Sabrina was my favorite!!

Oops - gotta run, (as usual) the turkey isn't thawed out yet - its my turn to bathe it!

Merry Christmas
